The female staff of the main library is secretly named as Meena Bazaar walis due to their gestures and style. A number of girls seemed to complain over the attitudes of library staff. Many students complained that they have a very little sense of responsibility. Whenever any celebrity guest comes to university they leave in a group to see him. Two students shared their experience, “When Mustafa Kamal came to university, they left library unprotected and ran to get a single glance of him.”

Another one quoted that when she came to library this morning, the whole desk was empty because the staff was off to get Kataray and Imlee from the tree which is outside the window of library. A pathan boy was helping them to clutch Kataray from the tree”.

. According to the students they do not compete with university standards. They apply Mehendi to each other in duty hours but still they are very cooperative and friendly. One of the librarians told our reporter that she even offers free mehendi to students if any girl brings her own Mehendi cone to her.

·           . Cat fight over Computer

Jan 31: Two girls started fighting over acquiring of computer time in the main library. Computer lab of main library has only nine computers which are unable to serve 4000 students of university. Students in Reading hall of library witnessed a clash between two groups of girls. One group was recognized as from BBA department while the identity of the other group is still in question. However the unknown group withdrew from the fight after seeing the journalists’ involvement in the matter, who were sneaking around for a news.

·       -  In Seminar library of Mass communication, Urdu group of students of BS-II declared an emergency for Urdu Newspapers. They were expecting a test on Monday but applauded with cheers when their CR announced that their teacher, Miss Humaira is absent.

·        - In-charge of Seminar Library, Miss Umme Habiba assembled the whole section of English books and novels after two semesters. She arranged the section in the honor of four new books which are recently added to the library collection. 

·       -  In parking lot, two students of zoology department were collecting insects in a plastic box. They told our reporter that they are worried because insects are rare in whole university in this season. They demanded that their teacher should provide them flies, mosquitoes and insects by university resources. Following the story of rarity of insects we reached in the lab, D-11 of Microbiology. Every wall of the lab was eaten by termites and the lab was a house of mosquitoes. The girls of the lab demanded instant fumigation in all labs and left the rarity of insects in university, in question.

-A Spot light on the edge of rooftop of D-Block is a big threat to the girls of university. It has been fallen down once in the past. It was posted again and now among the bunches of electric and telephone wires, it

·         is again ready to fall anytime. We tried to speak to Asghar Khan in this regard but he simply asked us to mind our own businesses.

·         

·          -January 31, 2011: Tariq Imtiyaz, the security Officer of Jinnah University told our reporter that some teachers from science faculty do not follow the security rules. They take it on their egos and they are less patient in following the security process. Students of Jinnah University are quite obligatory in this regard and they are very calm in beg scanning and in passing through scanner gates.

·        -The walls of university washrooms are quite convenient for match making. Our reporter collected a number of contact numbers from the walls. There are engineers available from Mehran University. There are landowners who grow mangoes and peach. Even there is a one who claims that he has milk shops and an additional incentive he offers is that, he is the one, who always upload mobile credit of Rs.500. Our reporters tried to reach that number but unfortunately it was off. University students expressed their views that they have no issues in this regard and they actually enjoy reading the bathroom walls.  There is a little problem of shortage of water in the washrooms of Block E but the majority of students showed their satisfaction over washrooms to our reporter. They appreciated the cleaning service of university washrooms.

·       -  January 31:  A girl of MSc final from the department of Bio-Chemistry dropped her wallet in canteen having the whole semester fee of RS. 12000 in the wallet. Maria Iftikhar and Anum Ghazal of BS-III from the department of Microbiology picked that up. They searched for the owner of wallet in whole university with the help of two passport sized pictures of that girl in their hands and finally delivered the wallet to its owner. The girl passed her deepest gratitude,” The honest deed of two girls will always keep me honest with others as they saved me from a very big loss”.

·         - The rooftop of the department of Pharmacy is the most controversial place in the university. It is famous for the rumors associated with it including, smoking and immoral activities. We witnessed a complete beauty parlor setup on the roof and threading, waxing and mehendi were the common services.

·       -  The only bookshop of University is unable to fulfill the demand of accessories by Visual studies department. They lack chart sheets, sketchbooks and the complete range of pencils. Students showed their anger for the shortage. The shop man told us, “We were not expecting the demand of these accessories at this extent. They are now trying our best to meet the demand”.
